Reducing the risk of platform misuse

SMS Data Ltd provides access to data intelligence tools, APIs, dashboards, and workflow features that may be used in sensitive business processes such as customer onboarding, fraud prevention, risk review, and compliance support. To reduce the risk of misuse, we may require verification before granting or continuing access to the platform.

What Verification Helps Us Confirm

  • The customer is a legitimate business or authorised organisation
  • The person requesting access is an authorised representative or approved user
  • The intended use of the platform is lawful and consistent with our terms
  • The account does not present unacceptable fraud, sanctions, security, or misuse risk
  • Access to restricted features is limited to verified and accountable users

Depending on the customer, jurisdiction, product features requested, and risk level, verification may include one or more of the following.

Business registration and company information checks to confirm the legitimacy and legal standing of the organisation.

Verification of directors, beneficial owners, authorised representatives, or account users associated with the customer account.

SMS Data Ltd may use trusted third-party verification providers to support identity verification, business verification, fraud prevention, screening, and compliance checks. These providers help us review information securely and efficiently. We do not publicly identify specific providers unless required or approved.

Verification Does Not Guarantee Approval

Completing verification does not automatically guarantee access to SMS Data Ltd products. We may approve, reject, restrict, suspend, or terminate access if we determine that an account, user, business, or use case presents legal, security, compliance, fraud, sanctions, or platform misuse concerns.

Information Accuracy

Customers and users must provide complete, accurate, and up-to-date information during verification and account review. SMS Data Ltd may request additional information where necessary to assess eligibility, manage risk, comply with legal obligations, or protect the platform.
